The most recommended method in resetting a BIOS password largely depends on the kind of BIOS that a computer has. Normally known BIOS are AMI, IBM, Award and Phoenix. These are just the common BIOS; there are also other BIOS that exist.

Some BIOS requires a password before the system will boot while other need a password before the BIOS setup can be accessed. There are three general solutions to reset a BIOS password:

1. Employing a Backdoor BIOS Password- a backdoor password was implemented by some manufacturers that functions, regardless of the BIOS password that is set by the user. The purpose of this backdoor password is for maintenance and testing. This backdoor BIOS password had been changed by the manufacturer regularly.
2. Using software to reset the BIOS password- all system needs to store the BIOS password information. If the machine can be accessed after it had been booted successfully, you can view the BIOS password. The most important thing is that you must determine the memory address and the format where the BIOS password had been stored. Otherwise, install a program that will determine this needed information. Also, you can write a program that performs the reading of BIOS password that is stored in the CMOS memory on the PC. Write on the address of the byte of the CMOs memory that you want to read in port 0×370 and read the contents of port 0×371.
3. Use hardware to reset BIOS password- if the machine cannot be accessed after booting to power up, still, there exists the possibility to recover the BIOS password. This BIOS password is kept in CMOS memory that is preserved in the PC and is supplied by a small battery that is attached to the motherboard. If this battery will be removed, all necessary information in the CMOS which includes the BIOS password will be lost. Re entering the correct CMOS setup information is needed to use the machine. On other motherboards, this battery is directly soldered on the motherboard to make it difficult to remove. For this case, there is another alternative. Locate in the motherboard documentation for a jumper in the motherboard that will clear the BIOS password. Moreover, this jumper can be located near the battery. As the last resort, if you can’t locate the jumper, you can short both terminals where the battery is connected to the motherboard.

In summary, the BIOS password can be reset in any system. Some of these systems are difficult, while others are easy. All BIOS password can be reset with enough time, effort and money.

There are situations that are inevitable. For instance you have a movie file that is stored in the hard drive. It is in AVI format and you wanted to burn it in a disc and watch in a DVD player. It is also the same concern with digital camcorders. You can easily burn these AVI format files into CD or DVD and watch it on computers. However, the problem arises if you have no computer, and the available player is the standard DVD player. Below are some useful methods in converting AVI format files to DVD.

1. Look for DVD conversion software that functions well. Some of the available DVD conversions may be easy for you to manage, others may not. The most practical way to choose what DVD conversion is best for you is to download various evaluation copies and try them all. If there is software that has no evaluation program, consider it to the least of your priority. Later, if you have chosen the software that works well with you, that will be the time to buy it online.
2. Searching online, here are some of the DVD converter titles: Magix, Nero, Adobe premier, Roxio easy Media Creator and Pinnacle. You can also get some recommendation among friends and fellow workers.
3. Look for DVD converters that have video editing features. A good video converter will not just let you open up and drag these media files to a timeline to create a movie, but let you overlap elements, trim them, do other transition effects, adjust sound levels and add chapter marks, so you can easily jump to the desired chapter just like the commercial DVD sold in the market.
4. In choosing a DVD converter, consider the following: features, ease of use and price.  The converter you will be choosing must have the minimum features you need for your movie editing. Also, it must not be too complex for you not to undergo difficulty in learning. And lastly, if this your first attempt to burn a video, choose a converter of less price because you just don’t know how frequent you will be using the program.
5. A simple reminder: Some video converter programs functions poorly in keeping synchronization of picture and sound. It may have a good start but later as large number elements have been joined together, you will notice a delay between the sound and a picture. As a result, you movie will look like it was a dubbed foreign movie.
